It was released in 1988 by Apple Computer and was part of the classic Mac OS line of operating systems. Mac (pre OS X) Virtual CoCo - A CoCo 2 emulator for the Macintosh. In 1984, with the release of the first Macintosh (128K), the system was actually not called MacOS but was just Mac System Software.
